This is a genuine proper pub in the West End, its where the locals, workers and city visitors drink.
Located at the West End of Princes Street all set in one room this pub has features galore. With an ornate tiled wall at the entrance, lots of wall fixed wood panels, high ceilings that are ornately plastered, and original wooden floors. A real fire old place for the winter and an interesting range of advertising mirrors.
A good range of beers at out of town prices are a huge pull for a range of clientele. Fruit machines and TV showing the dogs and news. A good mix of working Edinburgh folk and some locals for whom the west end is home. Well worth stopping for a pint in a proper pub in Edinburgh’s West End.
